Sorry, but I feel like I have already posted photos in the garden thread. At the moment, it is also tedious to take anything photogenic in the heat. Everything is drying out, spiders are weaving their webs, sweat drops everywhere. And then the weeds and the ants
And we regret our south-facing terrace, would like something else, shadier. And our furniture is also mismatched.

Thank you for the great thread.
There are really some gems here
Maybe there will be more to see...
We will also get some information in the summer, as we want to redo the terrace next spring.
We have a north orientation #rofl and are really very satisfied with it.
But we couldn’t choose it either, as it is my parents' house, which I am now taking over.
The terrace is, now I have to estimate, about 35-40sqm in size. And is surrounded on all sides, except the north side, by the house/heating room.
By now, I am probably off WPC as well.
The terrace is supposed to get a glass roof. I don’t know much more yet.
Looking forward to suggestions and maybe one or two more pictures here!
Thank you.

At the front of the picture, we have also set up a fixed aluminum pavilion.

The terrace (75 sqm) consists of Ipe planks (endless and with hidden screws) on a Bongossi substructure.

Completely self-built in the last house.

A piece of terrace with Noir Toya slate stone for the “Hoch” beds or edging, granite 60 x 60 Athina in anthracite, a few dark granite stones 10 x 10, slate stuff from the hardware store, and the gravel goes all around the house to the driveway, which is made of the same material. And because the terrace is 30 sqm (there are two staggered ones), it was a bit more expensive and the furniture is mismatched

Does anyone have experience with discounts on shading solutions outside the season? We currently use two umbrellas (Glatz) and are just annoyed by them. The sun moves, the umbrella does not (on its own). You constantly have to adjust it. Are (brands) awnings or sun sails cheaper to get at the end of the year? The dealers we have visited so far deny it, but I can't really believe that.

I'd pay attention to knife discounts.
Our umbrella always tips over.
