I wouldn’t lay it without joints. My husband also started that way and in the end took everything up again because internet research showed that it’s probably not such a good idea. With joints, we even liked it better. It can cause chipping when expanding.

Laid concrete slabs without joints 6 years ago and again last year. No unevenness, no chipping.

well, we'll see, so far it has just been laid well and accurately and I have to somewhat trust the experts on that.

Without drainage channels in front of the floor-to-ceiling doors, of course not compliant with standards (possibly still functional). The world belongs to the brave

Setting tiles outside on edge in the split bed and then sweeping them in, I haven't seen that before either But whatever, it turned out nice after all.
