Thanks for the tip about the drainage, I will mention that tomorrow.

Regarding "auf knirsch": Well, what can I say, there seem to be enough experts around here. We have spoken with several civil engineers, tile/floor layers, and the manufacturer, the procedure is by no means unusual. Even internet research shows that it is by no means unusual.

Anyway, I thought the thread was called "Show us your terraces" and not "we criticize everyone's projects." One shouldn't be surprised that hardly any photos are posted here anymore.

we also do not have a gutter. However, there is a slope and a cavity under the slabs at the house. No waterlogging should occur and that is not possible like this. Also up to the outside on split. The whole thing on crushed stone. We already did that 6 years ago and it still holds up great. That’s why we did it again last year. It is not unusual here.

What's strange about that? Paving is also laid on gravel and then brushed in with jointing sand.....

I don't find it funny either. Sand has the advantage that you can still fill the joints nicely at any time. These gravel grains personally get on my nerves around here.

The strange thing is that it was installed without grout, how is the sand supposed to get in there?

even if you are pissed off, it is definitely not normal to install porcelain stoneware by pressing. Especially when someone points it out to you, accept it.
