Hello dear forum,

we are posting our own design for the planned construction project here and would be grateful if you could give us a few honest opinions about it. We are generally very satisfied with it, but as often happens, one usually cannot see "the forest for the trees."

The basement level will be completely exposed at the front, so we want to enter the house at ground level or drive in through the garage. The other sides will almost disappear into the slope, hence the two planned light wells on the east side.

The rooms on the ground floor are planned so that we as parents will later move from the basement to the ground floor and thus leave the basement with bathroom to the children. Hence only the planned shower in the basement.

Many greetings and thank you very much!!!

Hello forum! Is there really nothing to "complain" about? Best regards

So, Kerstin wrote enough last week. You then had that deleted.

Honestly, I can hardly make anything of these SweetHome?-plans. They always look amateurish and are so 95% of the time.

For your sloping plot, the front is south, as I have read it, I would personally start my first drafts with the entrance and living areas with a terrace at the front in the basement, then bedrooms on the ground floor that do not necessarily require an outside exit. Also, the utility room on the ground floor, great for laundry where it occurs, as well as an outside door at the back.

And with little effort, you can avoid having an ugly long corridor :)

Thank you very much first of all!

Unfortunately, I couldn't read Kerstin's comment. So I don't know what criticism has already been made. After all, I had this thread deleted because unfortunately there were more problems with it.

Yes, it is a sloping plot and south is on the right side and west in front. Thought you could tell ;)

Maybe Kerstin can write again... :D

Best regards

It would be too much of a cave for me... just the hallway to the bedroom. I would get depressed just looking at the floor plan. A bedroom with a strip of light would not be for me. Children facing the street... well, it depends somewhat on the type of street and the view. All guests always have to climb stairs? Are there no grandparents? (purely from a practical standpoint) Half-turned staircase with 2.2 m is borderline. I would skip the balcony. Otherwise, elevations and sections wouldn't be a bad idea.

There were no problems with the thread. And the users here are reluctant to waste time – they do not get paid for the time and advice. From whom, anyway?! So naturally, the answers then also decrease.

Sorry, I haven’t looked at the plans anymore – looked at them enough last week and now posted from memory.
