We have basically built next to Ikea (4km), and you can't imagine how many Kallax and Pax units you can assemble in a day and how many you can fit into a small house.
Currently: (planned)
Pax: 8 (+2)
Kallax: 11 (3 and many more)
It's not like we don't have anything from the Yellow Giant. I just find this assembly so terrible.
We still love our 3 m (or was it 4 meters) PAX wardrobe with sliding doors even after 5 years (the bedroom was designed around the wardrobe ;)). In terms of price-performance ratio (including interior fittings), this one was unbeatable despite a long search. IKEA has some nice gimmicks there. Does anyone actually need one of those pull-out trouser hangers? It was left out during assembly after the move because it turned out not to be needed.
We also have 2 of those Kallax shelves for our various books (I had to google the term after 's post). Other than that, a few small things like 2 step stools so the kids can wash their hands at the sink independently.
Also, I love (loved) the large bamboo cutting boards, which are indestructible for a long time. I recently had a new one sent to me. However, IKEA has (probably) reduced the quality of the boards. They used to be made entirely of bamboo wood. The new board has a core of other wood, and only the two 4 mm thick surfaces are still bamboo.
If this "IKEA thread" keeps being used, it could also be moved out . Title suggestions: "Experiences with IKEA Furniture" or "Your Ikea Furniture" or "Your IKEA Furniture" ;). It probably fits less in the garden section currently.
