You are now only responsible for the clinker. When the exterior is plastered, the plasterer is responsible for the base sealing. And don’t worry, I’m not confusing anything there. I only see the issue on FB if it has been explicitly agreed upon. The tiler normally does not silicone anything for you, unless you have commissioned it. Our construction contractor continues to insist that everything was done properly and that we have nothing to fear. Since he has never treated us unfairly before and has always been honest with us, I am close to just approving the whole thing... There will be a large terrace roof above the window anyway. We specifically ordered a low threshold, so the paving should be done up to that. How do you think I should protect the whole thing now? XPS glued on and that's it?

Facing the same issue.....however, for me it is individual trades. The window installer pointed it out to me, but said it should not be his responsibility, he told me: either landscaper or roofer.

My roofer does not do that.


My structural engineer wanted to name a partner for that, just doesn't know what something like that costs.

Between the threshold and the terrace covering, there belongs a drainage channel.

We will have all windows and terrace doors covered with a terrace roof. I believe under these circumstances such a gutter can be omitted, right?
