Sealing of floor-to-ceiling windows from the outside

Our construction contractor informed me by e-mail that the sealing from the INSIDE was carried out according to standards.

Vapor-tight from the inside, tight against driving rain from the outside, and according to the load case against ground moisture, standing water, etc... those are two different things.

Was RAL installation agreed upon?

Did he inform you that the external sealing is to be provided by the client? Because it must be done before facing with clinker. Try to get him on that.

The building description states:

"The installation is carried out based on the fundamental principles of the RAL guidelines and the recognized rules of technology."

The interior sealing is probably a joke. But fine. You don’t need it anyway. Outside liquid plastic. Often done by the landscaper. I did it myself. It’s easy, but they only sell the stuff to commercial customers. On eBay you can get it as a private person too.

If RAL is stated in the construction service description, in my opinion he can no longer talk his way out of it. Then he is talking rubbish. Whether the interior is now RAL-compliant, I do not want to say. But outside, it is definitely botched.
