That doesn’t matter. Small bathrooms can be more elegant and usable than large ones. The bigger one doesn’t have a prohibition sign either, and there are no measurements yet [emoji6]

Unfortunately, I don’t like Mattes’ design at all, although I of course also played around with the private west wing. But overall, it’s not my thing.

The problem with the large shell is the relatively deep rooms from the window front to the farthest interior wall, which are always about 7 meters. So you have to see which parts of the room can be sensibly placed without a window wall.

Hello everyone

Thanks again for the many great ideas. We would like to give you feedback on the proposals:

In general, regarding the various proposals with the office in the living room:
We can’t quite warm up to the office in the living room, we would prefer another room that could be used as an office/guest room.
But maybe it would be an option to push the office to the right wall and close it off with a "glass door"?

We would appreciate a room division in the living room though

Proposal 1:

What we like:

[*]Living/dining area as well as kitchen we find exciting
[*]The ample storage space is also very appealing to us

Less good:

[*]Parents’ bedroom rather tight. Our bed is 2m wide
[*]The layout with the bathroom, dressing room, etc. in the parents’ bedroom is interesting

Proposal 2:

[*]The centrally arranged dressing room by the parents’ bedroom we find very exciting
[*]The draft appeals to us almost more than the first one

Good tip, thanks!

We would prefer to keep the room open to the corridor

We can live without a window in one of the two bathrooms.

That’s exactly the case, the box spring bed is 200 cm wide, it looks rather cramped on the plan.

That was not intentional, was probably a mistake on the plan...

Yes, there will need to be a shaft for the pipes going up, we still have to finalize that with the architect

We find your attempt 1 almost even more exciting, we had drawn a similar version ourselves on paper at the beginning ;)

Positive:

[*]Placing the bedroom top left we find exciting
[*]TV area / sofa placement is interesting
[*]Room layout on the right side we find optimal as is

Questions:

[*]Regarding the entrance to the parents’ bedroom you have to give us a little hint, is it planned to the left above the dining table?

[*]We briefly had concerns about the noise from the washing machine next to the bedroom, but that shouldn’t be an issue nowadays, right?

The lake is at a greater distance on the left side, visible across the entire window front

Our architect already asked that ;) We were of the opinion yes, but you can argue about it.

Proposal 1:
Positive:

[*]We find the parents’ bedroom placed excitingly, the dressing room seems quite large, as well as direct terrace access.
[*]Utility room near the kitchen is exciting

Negative/feedback:

[*]We would rather swap the laundry room with the bathroom upstairs, so both bathrooms would have a window
[*]The parents’ bathroom looks rather small on the plan

This has already been changed in the original plans, but unfortunately not in the 3D drawing, the entire front including the terrace window below is now a sliding door.

I hope our feedback helps you a little further. We will also think about it some more tomorrow and maybe draw 1-2 more variants..

Best regards
Marc

You should update the window front in a floor plan. And, very urgently, clarify with the architect what can really be done. Mattes' proposal places bathroom pipes in locations where there was nothing before. The WC drain is always critical. Also, what can still be done with the windows on the right and bottom sides of the plan. Because, with the existing windows, it will be really difficult. In my proposals, the "after-work office" .. under no circumstances on the right wall .. I would find that space-destroying and the after-work office would then have little of the window front. By the way, the proposals still included a guest room separately.

Used your own draft 3 times as a basis. What I hate are bathrooms without windows in new buildings. I also found 11m² children's rooms too stingy.
