Hello dear forum,
8 years ago we built a new house and at that time, during the furnishing of the upper floor, we laid carpet. Now we want to replace it and install glued parquet instead.
We have 14cm high Hamburg baseboards all around upstairs. They are painted and made of solid wood, thus somewhat higher quality, so we would like to "save" them. We glued the baseboards back then. Now I fear that I cannot remove them completely without damage.
Question: Does anyone know how new parquet can be laid with already installed baseboards? Do the baseboards have to be completely removed? Or: should I leave them and lay the parquet basically against them?
I would be happy about tips!
Thanks and best regards
