Parquet or tiles with cats - are there concerns?

We have no problems with porcelain stoneware. The critical issue here is when the K**** attacks the joints. So, even here, don’t leave it lying around forever but wipe it up as soon as possible. But that probably always applies.

However, if by tiles you mean marble or something similar... not a good idea!

That was also my thought: This is not a specific parquet problem, spilled substances should not be left on tiles or any natural stone either. Cheap laminate is very sensitive. Possible options now include linoleum, vinyl floors, high-quality sealants ...

As is often the case: one end, "somehow nice," maintenance-intensive, sensitive, up to the other end, very practical, durable, resistant, but less homely (usually).

Depending on which type of cat you have, you should be worried if they don’t vomit. Because normally cats remove hair from their digestive system this way, which would otherwise clog the intestines.

Known to me, as we also have such a house tiger. I should have written better why cats vomit, when, and with what intensity.

We will now receive an offer next week from a specialist company for oiled oak parquet, white oiled.

We will have parquet laid throughout the entire ground floor, including the kitchen (except for the entrance area & guest WC -> tiles). We both really like wood, and since we chose the oiled version, such stains can be removed quite well.

Please note, however, that white oiled pigment means it is somewhat more delicate and requires more effort to maintain and "repair."
