Hello, yesterday another installer was on site. He said that the heat pump could definitely be installed in the front garden. Installer on the right under the kitchen window. The almost always mentioned 3 meter distance does not apply to the neighbor but rather 3 meters distance to public space. I can't really find anything conclusive on this topic in the Baden-Württemberg state building code. He wants to install a Vaillant Arotherm Split 75/5 or 55/5 with storage. The installation site would be 1m away from the nearest house. The municipality has no special regulations. Does anyone have experience or regulations or similar?

After entering the data of the heat pump in the sound calculator of the heat pump sales, I get the following result:

Distance source - receiver 2m

At least one assessment level is less than 6 dB(A) below the emission guideline value. If applicable, noise emissions from other sources ("pre-load") must be taken into account.

Day operation

Assessment level Lr: 51 dB(A)

✔ Exceeding the emission guideline value of the TA Lärm by 4 dB(A).

-Assessment level according to TA Lärm limit value (emission guideline value) according to TA Lärm

Night operation

(with noise reduction)

Assessment level Lr:

37 dB(A)

✔ Exceeding the emission guideline value of the TA Lärm by 3 dB(A)

What exactly does this mean? Heat pump is installed facing the street

I checked again, distance 2.7m. With a consumption of 10000kwh, the aroTHERM Split 55/5 should be sufficient, right? Then I would have the following values at 2.5m:

That would be on the safe side, right?

The offer will still be €3-4k more expensive. Regarding the heat pump on the pitched roof between the gable roofs, it was written in another forum that you can safely install the heat pump there, since you would hardly hear anything even in the storage tank. The noise is directed upwards from the other roof. If that is the case, I would then choose this option. Does anyone have experience with this situation between two roofs?

Hello, I just spoke with the HB, he talked to Weishaupt and the employee at Weishaupt suggested a second option, namely to mount the heat pump on the wall on the street side. According to the employee, this option would be the most suitable. What do you think? Would this be a good option?
