And which suitable frames/mounting brackets do you have? Apparently, there are also quite significant price/quality differences here.

Are GU10 bulbs - sockets/frames is a completely different discussion, although I place more value on the bulb there.

We ordered our LED lights online. There are many retailers who sell good products for relatively little money. However, like my predecessor, I am a fan of Philips.

At what distance have you installed your LED spots? (Planning with GU10 LED spots with 5 watts each). What do you think of GX53 recessed lights? Does anyone have experience?

The distance depends on the beam angle and the ceiling height.

This can be calculated relatively easily using the tangent
Tangent alpha = Opposite side / Adjacent side

Opposite side = Radius of the illuminated area on the floor
Adjacent side = Room height
alpha = Half of the beam angle

Rearrange the formula a bit and done:
Radius of the illuminated area = Tangent (beam angle / 2) * Room height

I then sketched the room, arranged the ceiling spots "pleasingly," and used a compass and the radius calculated above to draw the illuminated areas. If unlit areas appear, the position of the ceiling spots must be adjusted again or additional spots must be added.
But beware: If the spot is supposed to shine, for example, on the countertop, then the distance from the ceiling to the countertop must be used in the formula instead of the room height.

Wow, we didn't put that much effort into this work. One day in the shell construction together with our electrician and we were done. However, beforehand we had to mentally arrange the furniture.
