8W Nobile recessed spotlights spaced about a meter apart. I find the lighting very good (makes more light than expected) and the light color very pleasant. I would choose exactly the same again.

Pretty good CRI value of 94, and with 700 lumens definitely brighter (of course, more power) but also 10 times as expensive.

Philips MASTER LEDspot 4-35W 927 GU10 DIM CRI90+

Not cheap, but I am currently very satisfied with the light color - and even dimmable. 5 years warranty included.

In order for the lights on the ceiling to be arranged symmetrically and still be able to better illuminate certain areas, swiveling mounting frames should be used. Light bulbs can be replaced later. The GU10 (230V) have several advantages: bulbs are usually cheaper, any number regardless of the transformer, and when replacing with brighter lights, there are no problems with the transformer power.

We have planned 12 spots in the kitchen, 10 in the dining area, 11 in the hallway, and 9 in the study. In the kitchen above the countertop, I chose a distance of 80 cm, otherwise rather 120 cm.

So now we have the housings (Kaiser HaloX-O) in the ceiling and wired. I am currently looking for suitable recessed spotlights. I’m not really sure whether LED or halogen. For halogen, I would take 35W, that’s how I know it from the old house, that fits.

I should actually be able to install the recessed spotlights myself, right?

I had calculated a budget of about 85 euros each. I don’t yet know how much was spent on the recessed housings and wiring in the filigree ceiling.
