At first, it’s about lighting, not home automation with all the trimmings.
Load? A reasonable switch with one WLAN is fine in my opinion.
Reception? Whoever doesn’t consider this in a new building and relies on access points is poorly advised.
If the internet doesn’t work or, for example, some gateway in Homematic or Loxone Miniserver fails, you can always expect problems. I think one should always be aware of that.
Why? Loxone works perfectly fine even without internet; I don’t know to what extent Homematic relies on the internet.
WLAN today just isn’t equal to WLAN, especially in new buildings with underfloor heating etc. One wall is enough to cause interference.
However, this is the case in every radio network; it’s just that with WLAN, laptops, phones, and sometimes streaming components are running.
