A "ugly" duckling is slowly becoming a beautiful swan :)

The structural engineering report for opening the wall between the kitchen and living room is available. Today the master mason is coming for the site inspection. Once that is realized, we will have a 40 sqm kitchen-dining-living area. That will definitely be great!

The floor will then also be laid throughout the entire basement.
Parador Basic 4.3 Oak Infinity Natural. We really like it :)

The transition profiles have really won us over as well.

In October and November we really partied again and then moved in on the last weekend of November. Many things are still unfinished but overall it is quite livable :) The only thing we didn't do ourselves: the wall opening from the kitchen to the living room. But that was so worth it! And including the structural engineering it was surprisingly inexpensive at 1700 EUR gross. The little hole is 115x200 cm in size. Structurally it doesn't work without a steel frame anymore but we think it's perfect like this :)

The sunset here is dreamy.
In the east-facing apartment, something like that was of course pure wishful thinking ;)

I like the kitchen best.
With some refreshing, you can really achieve a lot.
It is the same 90s fitted kitchen as before, only newly painted, new handles, countertop, sink and faucet, as well as freezer rearranged and countertop extended under the window (previously in a straight line, now L-shaped).

Even though we are more in the Hartz IV corner compared to the forum, we feel comfortable and for us this is almost luxury :)

This IS luxury!

I think it's great when, for example, you reuse and refresh the old kitchen instead of always throwing everything away and buying new.

Very nicely done!

We also belong to the "Hartz-4 corner" here. Nicely put^^.
