So actually that’s our plan too :)

The kitchen is to be painted white and fitted with a new worktop. We might paint the floor tiles in the main bathroom, otherwise they will just stay as they are. We also want to paint the 10 interior doors (beech ??) white.

We are currently choosing floors. House handover next week, so now it’s getting serious. Move-in planned by the end of the year.

If we don’t have a wall opening made to the kitchen, then 10k will suffice for now.

3000 K floors (we probably want to do the entire ground floor and upper floor right away) 500-1000 K wallpaper and paint 1000-1500 K renovate guest WC 1000 K washing machine (we haven’t had one yet so far) 1000-2000 K for miscellaneous 1500 K dining table and chairs (already ordered)

All work to be done by ourselves. We are approaching this very relaxed :)

Chalk paint is supposed to work well. But it probably has to be a specific type. Google or FB is your partner here ;) Or smooth with filler, put some click vinyl on it and enjoy it for a few years until the full renovation comes. Are they glossy lacquered? Sand and paint white. Visually, that makes a big difference.

But only if you can do it. Some people think, well, I already "painted" a basement wall, then painting a door frame will work too. I would also avoid painting kitchen furniture. Either have them laminated or sell and buy new if you don't like it.

There are so many examples where it works and looks good. There are people who have craftsman blood in their veins. If someone comes up with the idea to paint tiles themselves, they will know that hard work can be fun. Among other things, there are the exact opposite here in the forum, those who don't even come up with the idea to recycle something themselves or to deal with paint.

I have already painted my kitchen front before; if you do it carefully and very neatly, it works very well. I don't know about painting doors; personally, I wouldn't do it.
