Rolling paint instead of brushing is a bit more forgiving and tends to hide mistakes better. Also, the roller doesn’t shed bristles. But sanding the entire surface is essential!

As long as you follow all the steps, cleaning, sanding, priming, etc., it will turn out acceptable. If you want it perfect, you have to buy new.

Here are a few first impressions of the door frames. Before and after the first coat of topcoat. We are satisfied :)

Process: Cleaning, sanding (K180), primer, two coats of paint

The doors should turn out almost perfect, as the paint can be applied on the surface so smoothly that it is a true pleasure.

PU-reinforced water-based paint from Adler (Aqua-Nova Pro). This one is also going to be used for the kitchen ;)

Great! That just goes to show that it's often worth taking a chance. And if it hadn't worked out, you could always have bought a new one.

I always used 120 grit, possibly also 80 grit. After sanding, be sure to wash away the dust. I always use spirit on a linen cloth for that.

After sanding, we brushed off with a hand broom and removed the remaining dust with special dust-binding wipes from 3M ;)

Today the final coat was applied to the frames.
The result is really amazing.
The painter probably couldn't do it any better...
