Hello community, we are currently planning our kitchen and find the lifting system from Ninka called Qanto very interesting. Has anyone installed the system themselves and can provide feedback on whether this investment is worth it? It would also be interesting if there are other systems or DIY setups, possibly with TV lifts?

I only know the system from advertising. Personally, I am not a fan. Why?
[*]very expensive [*]doesn't hold much [*]no countertop in the corner anymore (for example, a coffee machine or whatever could stand there well) [*]possible susceptibility to technical faults
I would rather prefer a sensible corner cabinet solution, there are so many options.

Extremely expensive? Do you have a price for it? There will definitely be someone who has built a DIY solution. In that case, the costs are definitely below 300€. You can't generally say that not much fits on it. You can easily put your coffee machine or the Thermomix underneath it. The question is rather, who would prefer a clean countertop instead of having everything cluttered. Personally, I do not want to look at the rarely used toaster or something like that every day in the new kitchen, so this would be an option for us.

From approx. €1,400 upwards (depending on the version - number of shelf brackets or lighting).

I prefer to have a proper worktop in the corner or a decent cabinet solution. With a footprint of 470x470mm, it is only suitable for smaller things (so one pot and small stuff around it). That’s what I mean by that.

In my opinion, the Qanto is definitely not right for that. You press a button, wait until the toaster is up. Toast, and then everything back again.
I prefer just opening and closing the cupboard briefly...
If kids then quickly knock over a glass of water or whatever (which is said to happen in kitchens ), and all the mess drips into the device and the compartments, you’ll surely be happy.

For me, no more than a fancy and expensive gadget without much added value.

Ok, I understand your point of view. It's fine, everyone is different on this... Then let's hear from others who might have installed such a system or something similar, because my question was also: Thanks

I am always up for technical tinkering no matter the cost BUT I would find that impractical in the video... I don’t want to wait "2 min." just to take a pot.. that would really annoy me..
