You can forget about the thicket
And definitely not all sides are inhabited, only those facing south.
I had mistaken, the other 2 walls are, in my opinion, closed. I'm already struggling to think about what to best make the back wall from, so it doesn't look so stupid. You could still let it be covered with vines, but until then?
I would place earwigs separately – always offer them a shelter where they are needed. So on the fruit tree or among the roses. Hang upside-down flower pots with straw inside.
I don't need them directly. I just find them really cute. But if they like to live among roses or fruit trees – I can arrange that.
Ladybugs overwinter in wall crevices or leaf piles – somewhat warm and humid.
Wow, you really know your stuff. You can integrate such wall crevices, right, or is that nonsense?
Beetles don’t need a hotel, they need the right garden.
The garden is laid out. Unfortunately, it's growing a bit slowly due to dryness. But the wild meadow and bird protection hedge are in their third year. As mentioned, now comes the poor grassland.
I like the stones at the bottom for weighting – I wouldn’t put a rabbit wire in front of it, I don’t know if lizards like that.
Yes, recently I saw a lot of small creatures scurrying around in the leftover stone pile from the paving. Mostly spiders again, however. But as long as they stay outside quietly, all is well.
Lizards are rather on the south side of the garden. At the front by the street (where the hotel is supposed to go) there aren’t enough hiding places yet.
