So how a dual-income household with a gross ceiling of 100k€ per year is supposed to manage these burdens, I don't know. I mean, the single-family house on the desired plot surely exceeds the 800k€ mark! And the assets, i.e., equity, are also limited. Who is supposed to qualify as an applicant here?

20 minutes by car south of Leipzig. However, back then it was undeveloped in terms of sewage and water. Still a bargain. Cool is also the price increase due to the boom - but many people experience that. Next to us is still free...

But the way to the desired location does not count. What counts is the way to the workplace and possibly also to the family (care and so on). You just have to stretch yourself. How far would the way to the workplace be? If I only wanted to build where it would be convenient for me (optimal), then I would still be living in a rented apartment. Nevertheless, we have always felt comfortable in the place of choice. By the way, the current one has only leasehold, which is affordable. Then you just have to make arrangements with it.

... compared to 2016, I don’t see any update to the current daily price there. As said, the municipality will not find real buyers at statistical moon prices, and your competitors have to finance somehow as well. As dual earners with two children, they should only have a total monthly income of 9,500 euros in order not to exceed the social limit of the model. That already indicates that the plots are not supposed to go to applicants from the highest salary groups.

Metropolises radiate outwards – this does not dissolve into thin air just because people move out beyond the traffic jam at the city gates.

Only 9500... we don't even have half of that. Okay... we're also poor Lower Saxony

When it comes to land prices and house construction costs in the Munich area, you need serious money

Over 1,000 euros per square meter of land
For 2,000 euros per square meter of living space, you get social housing standards

You won’t get far with 500,000.
The cost of living is also tough. You have to earn that first
