Ok... Poly won't be used after today's appointment either, but laminated safety glass will.

Another question: Has anyone ever bought suitable sun sails cheaply online themselves? The awning is supposed to cost €4750 - sun sail €2300. The roofing is in the right price range. Anyone have a tip?

We signed the order for Poly today.

At €6,600 for Poly without shading compared to €16,550 for VSG + awning, the price was ultimately decisive. Noise was also rather less of a decisive argument for us, but we will see how it turns out in the end. Currently, we are more concerned that the roofing might actually block too much light. I'm curious; the thing is supposed to be installed in about 8 weeks.

We have been offered 3.50 x 6.00m with [VSG clear] including installation for €4900 - delivery time 3-4 weeks. 3.5mm thick aluminum - there are already such ones in the area and they look great.

I also found [underlying sun sails]:

Peddy Shield - can be bought there per element for €52 - seven are needed.

I got the tip from the seller - €350 vs. €2300 from the patio roof builder - sounds like a counteroffer.

I also find [Plissees] visually quite nice. They're not that expensive either.

What kind of pleated blinds are you talking about? Do you have a manufacturer where I can take a look or your own photos?

Customer? That’s a great price! You initially mentioned something about 50%? We paid €4100 all inclusive for 3x5 in laminated safety glass two years ago, and I had been tracking prices for almost a year – it was really good back then.

I have those in mind for us too but beware: they only come ready-made in 4 sizes and the longest is 330 cm; for you, that’s already 350 cm in depth but with an assumed 8° slope you come to 390 cm carrier length and thus a net depth of about 370 cm – so you are missing quite a bit! And they only come in 58 or 68 cm width. So have the net width confirmed.

If that doesn’t fit, you’ll need custom-made – that would cost about €1000 for 7 sections.

No... it's EMW canopies - also from Rüsselsheim. They source their sun sails from Peddy Shield. There they have these off the shelf in 88 x 380 for 57 €. I still have to clarify the effective width. KD in February with laminated safety glass and installation was 6300 € - however, there was 20% off the canopy back then. Sun sail 1200 € net surcharge.
