Which panes? Thickness, laminated safety glass (VSG), polished glass (FL), tempered safety glass (ESG), etc.?

If a child falls against a patio door without laminated safety glass (VSG), all hell breaks loose. If you equip the door with laminated safety glass (VSG) on the inside (roughly an extra 50 EUR flat rate calculated now), the injuries will be far less severe than without. Why do you compare something like that with [Globuli]? Childless?

I was once a child too, and the kindergarten teachers called us a bunch of rascals fairly regularly. In the gymnasiums of my schools, the only "protection" was wire in the glass panels of the doors, which we all left completely alone. Back then, we were angry when we had to wear fur hats with ear flaps in winter – if only we had known that today's helicopter kids could already make their moms anxious just by going down the slide without knee pads and swinging without a helmet, we would have been grateful to "only" make fools of ourselves with the hat.

Unfortunately, even after reading it twice, I cannot establish any connection to VSG....?

The context is that during my entire kindergarten and school time (in a normal small community kindergarten, but afterwards in large school centers) there was not a single unintentional duel child against non-[VSG]-door.

I know someone who never wears a seatbelt in the car. Accident-free for decades. He now wants to convince his child that the seatbelt is unnecessary because he has always done it that way and there has never been an unintended duel between driver and windshield.

I think absolutely nothing of this logic and argumentative tactic. Everyone should do as they please, and if nowadays we are more advanced ([VSG] and previously protective wire embedded in the glass) / have the financial means to prevent something, why not!?
