I would definitely not install the cooktop in the middle but rather towards the edge. That way you get a proper work surface. Right now you only have a bit of segmented space here and there, but not a continuous one.
I agree with you! I actually like working to the right of the stove. Problem: 1. To the left of the cooktop (when standing between the row and the island), the KitchenAid should have its fixed place. The baking supplies will be in the pull-out tall cabinet behind it -> short work path. The kids’ learning tower can always stand between the wall and the island.
2. If you take something out of the oven or fridge, you can put it directly on the work surface to the left of the cooktop.
Leave vinegar/oil either nicely next to the cooktop or put them in a tall drawer. The kitchen is planned quite design-oriented. It would be practical to have a tall drawer near the cooktop below the countertop. You have everything in a classic line, bottom high, then medium, then a small drawer on top.
The view of the front of the island doesn’t really matter to me. Practicality comes first. I need to take a closer look at how tall the lower drawers in the island are and whether vinegar and oil will fit in there. At the moment, in the 60 cm cabinet we have two tall drawers and one shallow drawer, and no oil bottles fit in the tall ones. Does anyone happen to know how tall they are at next125?
The 100 cm drawers hold a lot of stuff, but a second person cooking has to step considerably aside if you want to access the drawer. You should consider how practical that is.
I work alone in the kitchen 90 percent of the time. So that wouldn’t be a problem.
I would definitely not plan 4 stools in a row: when would four people voluntarily sit in a line? Communicating doesn’t work so well then.
Originally, a niche for 2 stools was planned. But the 4 stools were actually planned for aesthetic reasons. Probably only 2 will be used.
Honestly, I think you could get more out of the kitchen (better organized work surface, chairs not in a row, dishwasher built in high). The layout (e.g. fridge or wall cabinets) is always a matter of taste.
I also thought of the high built-in dishwasher. But it somehow doesn’t appeal to me as much as the tall cabinet to the right of the sink row with internal pull-outs and a shelf for the toaster.
What do you mean by layout fridge and wall cabinets?
