The likelihood that it will still fit then is low. Here we have the usual 3-year cycles, after which the software no longer fits. That would be too easy... ;-) If they ever become really cheap, just connect them on the AC side, I think that's easier.

I would still take the inverter with DC output, it probably doesn't cost much more. You really can't lose. I hope that in 3 years I can connect my power storage with 4 wheels to the house... but I fear it will take more like 30 than 3...

That, of course, is not so simple. The storage systems both in cars and for photovoltaic systems all operate with DC.

The hybrid therefore controls the storage charging and feeds DC from the roof into the DC storage. It then of course also converts to AC and feeds into the household grid. The hybrid actually only has one function in the control and communication with the battery management system of the storage.

Bidirectional charging, that is, using the car as storage, is already possible. With VW, it should be possible from 01/2022. Otherwise, the Ioniq 5 or the Nissan Leaf also work. Actually not a bad thing. It will certainly take another 2 years, but it will somehow come.
