Good evening,

our parquet was freshly installed and unfortunately looks quite different from the sample. The color differences between the individual planks are sometimes very strong ("medium color variation") and the grain is also more pronounced than was shown to us during the sampling.
Picture 1: Parquet photo from the on-site sampling
Picture 2: Manufacturer's parquet example
Picture 3: Parquet in our house

We are not happy at all with the appearance of the floor. Are such strong deviations really acceptable?
Does anyone have an idea what we could do to make the floor look calmer?
Thanks in advance!

So, images 2 and 3 are definitely not the same parquet.

I find images 1 and 3 quite different. I generally don’t rely on manufacturer examples after floor purchases. That’s why I’m not really interested in 2.

Have you checked the packages yourself, correct product name, correct product number?

I agree with my predecessors.

Apart from that, I also like the [Ist (Typ 3)].

So in this matter I can't help you. There are definitely guides/guidelines for that, but as an exchange of experience from practice, let me tell you that a restless pattern is much more practical for everyday use than a very uniform one. It's not just about seeing dirt much faster (like with uniform ones), you also see scratches, which will happen sooner or later with parquet, immediately in a calm pattern, while it gets lost in a "rustic" image. I find what you delivered much nicer than the one in the manufacturer example.

Don't be mistaken. We went to the dealer several times, and the exact same patterns looked completely different under different lighting. Such patterns are anyway only a very small section.

[Image 1] obviously has direct light and a bright spot photographed. [Image 3] has significantly less light and the whole room. The bright area in [Image 3] is almost certainly the same spectrum as [Image 1].
