Overwhelmed with a simple kitchen counter - who has an idea?

Actually, the only argument against it is that we hardly use our current extractor hood. Quick ventilation should do.

But the grease settles everywhere. You can air out the odors.

But the fat settles everywhere.

When I think about how my grease filters look when I put them in the dishwasher once a month... and without a hood that would be on the furniture, the floor, in the small room with a bed even on the laundry... yuck!

Well then, I'll think again.

A floor plan with measurements would help. In an open space, you cannot consider the kitchen in isolation.

That’s true, a hood looks filthy after less than a month of normal use. But, I don’t think the kids stand at the stove every day. That means, I would at least prepare everything for a hood, but maybe not necessarily install one right away if the budget is an issue or wait and see how the kitchen is ultimately used.

I put something together, it looks similar to today – the bathroom and bathroom door will be different, but that shouldn’t matter here. Above the kitchen is a sleeping loft with space for a bed and a computer corner. The ceiling height in the kitchen is about 2.45m. Since we have 2 children, we are also building 2 of these residential units with their own front door in the north and a shared terrace in the south.

which other furnishings are planned in the room? maybe you can mark them.
