Hello dear forum community,

our house construction has been and still is slow, but slowly we are entering the final stretch.
At the latest in two months, we have to have the external split evaporator for our Ochsner air-water heat pump installed.

Now we have two options, put it in the (quite large) front garden or in our west garden (probably vegetable garden), which would probably be visible from the small kitchen terrace.
So the question arises, how could one disguise or cover it up in the front garden and how ugly is it actually. :D

Who should suffer, the guests and passersby or us?? ;)

That’s why I’m asking here among those who have already completed house construction and are already working on outdoor facilities and garden.

Could you post photos of your outdoor units here in this thread?
It would really help me to see those things at their destination, maybe even already with greenery or garden around them.

I know, posting photos is always a bit of effort, a thousand thanks in advance!

Our Alpha Innotec outdoor unit is located behind the garage.

@Masipularmi Thanks!!! Behind the garage it is already hidden from passersby. And from inside the house you can't see it, very good. Your terrace will also go out the back later? Are you maybe going to put a bush or something next to that thing later? I don't know what regulations apply to your device. It looks smaller than ours. Ours will have the rotor horizontal, and the device stands on legs and must be able to suck in air from below.

If you can install a grid in your garage, then put the AG in it.

The device may only have one wall nearby and it must be at least 1 m away. It sucks air in around itself and needs to be able to blow the cooled air out at the top, which is not possible in a garage. The device would suck in the self-cooled air again and then, well, you would have a freezer garage but not a warm house. ;-)

At our place, the cold air is blown out at the grilles you see in the photo. On the opposite side, it is "sucked in."

Yes, our terrace will be there too. It will be 11 by 5 meters in size. The table etc. will then be a bit further to the right. We have plenty of space. Although I have to say, that thing is really very quiet and you could certainly sit closer to it.

But it doesn't matter during the time you sit outside anyway, because it hardly runs then, and in winter you don't sit comfortably on the terrace. ;)

We chose the position because it can't be seen from the street or from inside that way.

Edit:
Yes, there will be some greenery in the corner later. Let's see...
