Hello everyone,
since the weekend the temperature sensor of the system shows 30°. As a result, the heat pump does not switch on. The system was commissioned exactly 3 years ago. The service from Alpha Innotec says that the sensor is out of warranty. However, 5 years warranty is stated on the homepage. And a sensor is not a wear part either. Does anyone have experience with this?
Besides, we have 5 years warranty from the [GÜ]. Does that apply in such a case?
I find it strange that you have to pay for a broken sensor after 3 years.....

The "DER" temperature sensor ... the AI has about 10 of them. Which one is showing 30°C? And which heat pump do you have?

The sensors themselves are relatively inexpensive. Discussing the warranty here is pointless. What would be more important is an adequate error analysis.

Alpha Innotec heat pump. The outside temperature is displayed as 30°. Obviously, the price is manageable. But with travel and labor time, it adds up.

when I search for Alpha Innotec in the list of heat pumps, I get 130 entries ;-) The AT sensor is pretty irrelevant. What is the average AT over 24 hours? The AI only switches to summer mode when the average temperature over x days exceeds a threshold. It is not unusual for an AT sensor to show 30°C in March, a few sun rays are enough. My AI, which I once had, was return flow controlled. That means it measures the return flow temperature and decides whether it needs to heat or not. You can read out the values.

Hi, generally with AI heat pumps, the return flow target value is set based on the outside temperature. In addition, a limit temperature is specified at which the heating operation is completely switched on or off (outside temperature average). This limit temperature is usually between 12-16°C. If the heat pump now "measures" 30°C continuously, it of course does not switch on. So, changing the AT sensor is now necessary. And yes, the AT sensor is relevant for the control; otherwise, how should the heat pump calculate the average outside temperature?

You can probably also set another control mode without outside temperature measurement, but it is actually not advisable. It would now only be an emergency solution until the AT sensor is replaced. However, I have never dealt with this before. Regards

Found under "Service -> Einstellungen -> System Einstellung -> Regelung HK"

Switch from "AT-Abhängig" to "Festtemperatur"

But then you have to manually adjust the temperature to the temperature.
