Your previous post was a few seconds before mine. Horizontally, of course, that is difficult.

But vertically, it works perfectly.

Our neighbors have their outdoor unit (Mehrfamilienhaus) standing in the front yard. That thing is a real monstrosity and, I think, ruins the entire front yard.

Ours is hanging on the back wall of the garage. We also initially had the problem of where to put it and then [alpha innotec] came out with ones to hang. It looks like an air conditioner. Btw, it was also more effective, cheaper, and it saves the foundation. Just need gravel underneath.

The outdoor unit from Ochsner? Imho very ugly  The pictures posted here (so far) are conventional outdoor units and have little to do with the outdoor unit from Ochsner. Since the fan points upwards, you can enclose it; just make sure that the airflow is not obstructed on any side and that the condensate can drain frost-free. You also need to clarify with Ochsner what the maximum distance from the heat pump to the split evaporator may be. Oh yes, our builders have placed this pretty thing in the front garden, next to the trash bins; that way it stands out the least :D Rhineland greetings

They are always standing by the garbage bins in the neighboring development in our area as well :-) Our neighbors have one from Mitsubishi and it is really loud. However, it annoys them the most because the unit is placed unfavorably near the terrace... What is the advantage if the fan blows upwards? These always seem extremely large.

You have to ask the manufacturers that ;) For our above-mentioned builders, the outdoor unit is somewhat quieter than usual outdoor units (although that is always a highly subjective perception. From my point of view, every refrigerator is louder), but the noise level inside the house has increased significantly. Whether this replacement of the technology we proposed with the Austrian supplier really made sense, I therefore want to doubt. Especially since the Ochsner also requires a buffer tank and the HAR was of course not designed for this system; our builders' decision to switch was made after the walls were up and the rough installation was completed. This will certainly be interesting at every maintenance now .... Rhineland greetings
