White harmonizes, and also the classic, now often criticized anthracite works as well. If color is used, I would apply it not on the frame but in the reveals.

Thank you for the addition, the thread 14011 has long become too confusing for me, I wouldn’t have wanted to "quickly" look it up on page 1398 just now. Faschen and boarding would also be a nice combination. About the still fashionable color tone I always say "Seventy-sixteen is the new zero-eight-fifteen." When boarding, one could also stain some of the narrower boards in a slightly different shade, sort of like the "black keys of the keyboard."

I think that this should also take its time to find a good decision. During our considerations, I repeatedly heard all kinds of things against ideas that do not conform to the usual in conversations. I have occasionally spoken with people who told me how boring they find the black-and-white houses in the residential areas, only to build their own house the same way in white and black. Who can understand that. I heard the same about the number and size of the windows, which are awkward to clean, the strongly colored plaster would fade and is too expensive and so on, and then I stand in front of their white-plastered, sensible house and see the first spots on the plaster and wonder what was more sensible about that decision. I have always liked to be a bit daring and might have chosen our plaster in a really strong burgundy or similar, together with some wood, fully aware that afterward people would tell me how unreasonable that was. But I think it is just nice. And I like driving home past the endless rod mat fences in front of white-and-black houses. Maybe you would like to contribute to the forum with your thoughts and maybe also a few pictures. I myself have experienced that good results can come about when people are involved with sufficient input. In the end, you can do it the way you like anyway, because that is what really matters.

A higher resolution would be nice. How "finalized" is the planning, and what drives you to use consistent 24 cm interior walls?

The plan is basically fixed. There will be no more changes because we are satisfied with it. Since we are building throughout the house with unfilled bricks (due to future problematic disposal), we have chosen 24 cm bricks partly because of soundproofing (between the rooms) and partly because of higher flexibility for later renovations (mounting on walls). All contractors and masons from our private circle have also advised us accordingly.

Actually, I can't say much more than I did in my initial question. In principle, we do like a "clean" look, but we don't want the black-and-white appearance typical of new development areas. Therefore, for the roof and windows, we might have opted for light gray instead and used a wooden front door and a wooden garage door to bring some "warmth" to the overall appearance. (attached is an inspirational picture)

Alternatively, we would have chosen a red roof with wooden windows and a white facade. (Here too, an inspirational picture is attached, but we would forgo the wood cladding)
