Now Barossi,

A utility room in the middle is possible, but misusing the living room as the main traffic zone to get to the kitchen is very inconvenient.
Not only you will go to your WTW system, your planned 3 family members will also constantly look for the way to the kitchen - and that several times a day as well as in the evening.

You wanted suggestions and improvements, and you have received them. What you make of it, you have to see...

Regards Yvonne

Hi Yvonne,
Wouldn’t a bay window (wart) create a bit more space in the living room? A kitchen island would be nice, but it's not an absolute must!

Best regards, Barossi

I have to be honest: I don't think so. Personally, it would bother me a lot that you constantly have to pass by the sofa. My family consists of only 2 people, yet I made sure that the sofa corner is positioned at the edge of the action so that someone can still have peace there. Placing a sofa in the middle would now be a no-go for me, I had that once, but felt reluctant to use it. I then confirmed this with simple psychological rules.

Hello Yvonne, you are right! Our "second" living room is also our music room, where you can retreat unconditionally.

Maybe it makes sense to swap the guest room and the kitchen in our floor plan. That would bring much more peace and make the walking routes nicely short.

Best regards, Barossi

Hello everyone,

Yesterday we met again with our architect. He had implemented a few changes based on our last appointment and also added some measurements:

(the development plan, however, does not yet show the "more current kitchen V2 or V3")

-Kitchen too narrow (now 4m)
-Living room as a "pass-through" too narrow (now 4.25m)
-Work and music area enlarged as an extension

-He had also considered the possibility of a partial basement, due to the limited parking options. (Here, basement under the music room)

Attached are the elaborations, with a request for honest and constructive feedback!

Thanks + best regards

Barossi

I like the upper floor, but I can't deal with the ground floor at all.
The kitchen is squeezed into the last corner of the house and has absolutely no importance.
The living room and utility room are too prominent (as it was before).
Why again is the extension separated from the house?

If you want peace and quiet, you first have to leave the house to get to the extension???
