You have to like it. In my opinion, however, you are sacrificing a lot of space in the living room that is not being used. Even if the children play there now, how long will that last?

Hmm, what is that supposed to be right next to the kitchen door, on the way to the giant room?

Hello first of all,

I can only confirm the first impression of my predecessors. There are many bigger and smaller mistakes in the planning here. Certainly a nice idea to preserve the ideal value of the kitchen but please not like this ... I can't imagine the house in its use at all. I don't see a clear line in the planning. Just the hallway alone. You can create such beautiful impressions with sightlines, which are 0 present here. The floor plan really only came about based on your supposed usability. There is completely no feeling for room sizes here. The living room is a dream in terms of square meters but a huge disaster in terms of layout. Why is the door to the kitchen there? Am I supposed to walk by the stove? As I said, as an outsider I can't imagine it at all and discover any aesthetics in the planning, sorry.

Please quickly write down all wishes and off to the architect, that was nothing.

Still, best regards

That seems to be the stove - completely stand-alone, without any counter space.

@TE: there is a difference between speaking of an open kitchen and brushing past it on the way to the living room or having to go _through_ it. Then no surprising little baking with kittens remains a secret, every necessary trip through a kitchen that thereby ceases to be cozy... You can sugarcoat the useless middle of the living/dining area (->play corner), but this traffic area simply degenerates into a tripping hazard due to Playmobil and Lego. Aligning with the statements of the other users... There really are more well-thought-out floor plans.

And honestly: any Ikea kitchen can be rebuilt differently in any location - that should also be possible with your kitchen. It doesn’t seem ideal to me either, but that’s just my impression.... The plan doesn’t really provide details either.

P.S. If a future apartment is planned in the attic or even just a living space, proper windows should be installed there right away instead of emergency windows.

Hello,

I am not very familiar with "landhausoptik," but do you have to install such small windows for this look? If you enter your house from the north, you face a wall. Because of the small windows, this hallway to the kitchen will also be very dark. That doesn’t seem very inviting and shouldn’t be necessary in a new building. Why don’t you make the entrance to the living room straight ahead, so light from the south side also reaches the hallway? Why are you planning this corner bench in the kitchen? Will there still be a "real" dining area in the middle of the living room? You don’t want to sit on a corner bench with guests where everyone has to get up if someone wants to leave the table, do you? Children only play in their parents' living room for a very short time; after that, you hardly see them there anymore :) .

Best regards
Sabine
