Hello community,

We have completed a bonded screed in the garage in the summer. It has already dried through.

Tiles are supposed to be installed on the screed as a covering. For time reasons, I will probably only be able to lay tiles there in the spring.

Could I drive the wet car onto the screed in winter, or would the screed possibly be damaged or would I then have problems with the tiles due to dirt?

I think screed is not suitable for rock salt, which can happen to cars in winter though

We didn't have any problems there. The tiles were only laid 2 winters later and have been in place for 9 years now...

In our garage, there has only been screed for over 6 years. At my parents' place, there has only been screed for 40 years, and so far there have been no problems.

I don't know it any other way either. Tiling the garage is new to me; it's not really necessary. Yes, you can see marks from the car after a few years, but it is a garage after all :)
