Which tiles to choose for the entrance area? What did you choose?

Clearly, that won't look modern for long it just has to please you, the seller might get professional. And you should consider whether the format provides a good grout pattern or if you constantly have to cut pieces and possibly even pay more due to enormous waste.

Example: hallway width 1.5 m and tiles sized 90 x 90 means you need 1 whole tile and 30 cm is left from the next one. Do you then start with this leftover piece (random pattern) or place the next cut tile? Do you like the offset? Or do you cut both tiles by 15 cm and have a continuous grout line in the middle?

An architect once told me that as a beginner she had to draw tile layouts for months. We had already agreed on formats and then had to work with them... with only 10 sqm I would now probably first think about the grout pattern for each tile option...

... but please no anthracite-colored ones. is so right: you can see everything on them. They always look grimy. I also find the selected ones very pretty. And cozy. I could also imagine them throughout the entire living area. I would also tile everything right away... especially where the doors are always open.

And the screed separation must also be taken into account as an expansion joint that should not be bridged....

We are getting calcium sulfate screed (aka anhydrite screed), our site manager said that in that case you can do without such rather ugly expansion joints.

You always want trend? Do you all re-tile every 5 years or what? I don’t want a trend, it has to please me, no matter if it’s trendy or old-fashioned. I would also make everything as uniform as possible, apart from that I don’t really like tiles anyway

(we are getting vinyl glued, 1 type for the entire ground floor and 1 type for the rest of the house except the bathroom, so it hardly gets more uniform)
