If a deep canopy is planned in front of the living rooms, replacement windows must be planned in other areas that allow light into the rooms. This is not the case here. The southern sun will only provide some light for a few minutes/ one to two hours in winter. The canopy and the design look spicy, but in my opinion, they are not suitable for our weather conditions.

Regarding the kitchen: Kitchen cabinets, oven, and refrigerator in the pantry? :D

Looks very stylish, I would be interested in the entire floor plan, just out of curiosity, if possible ;)

I also think that it is getting too dark... just under 4 meters is already quite a lot...

I also like to read in older threads sometimes, and the planning concept actually started last year:

From that, I took the site plan:

Together with the current floor plan excerpt:

And a quote from the previous thread:

With that plan, visitors wouldn't even see the entrance, would they?

And I also notice that the pool usage is always connected with going through the dining/living area.

And, there shouldn’t be any west sun in the living area anymore.

Hi!

Some appliances like e.g. coffee machine, possibly microwave, etc. are supposed to go into the pantry, but the items you mentioned are planned on the pantry wall to the left of the kitchen island.

Yes, that's correct ;) We have been planning for a while. But now we also took a longer break because unfortunately nothing progressed with the reclassification (the bureaucratic mills in Austria grind slowly ;)

So our friends, relatives and acquaintances each get a little introduction at the first visit or a kind of "guidance system" will emerge through the street and the living fences (as a separation to the garden; unfortunately the street only comes from the south) ;) Otherwise, I'll let the kids draw arrows with chalk ;)

I don’t see that as a problem; I have already seen this in many layouts or experienced it several times with friends.

Yes, unfortunately. That is exactly the issue now. As mentioned, in summer some west sun/light might come through the open roof area (currently a tree is drawn there), but probably too little. The living area in the east would suit me since there is light coming from the east windows.

Basically: We are gathering our change requests this weekend and among other things, I want to ask my architect whether he can simulate the lighting conditions with a program.

Intuitively, about 3.0 m of roofing should be enough. I don’t want to plan it too short/small either because otherwise the desired roofing and shading effect won’t be there anymore.

The western sun is blocked in your light courtyard by the storage room. You can simulate the sun yourself, I believe the site is called sonnenstand.de, often read about it here, never used it myself. The most beautiful kitchen is useless if it is not designed for food preparation for a family.
