The real question is whether the OP should buy the property if the fixed-line internet issue is not conclusively clarified or not. If the property price and location are right, I wouldn’t hesitate, unless there are properties like sand on the beach in your region – rather unlikely. An internet solution can always be found everywhere – even if it is more expensive, it will not be a show-stopper compared to a good property at a fair price. For professional purposes, it is all solvable. For passionate internet gamers it will be a problem.

Logically approached: There will be fixed-line telephony. These lines also have to be laid. Fiber optic is not more expensive than copper and gives the provider access to more revenue, as more services run on it. So what could happen other than the connection arriving a little later than the house?

So fixed network must be mandatory? According to the town hall, Telekom's statement is that LTE is available with sufficient strength. Telekom also offers fixed network via LTE.
