I would be interested to know how this house will be positioned on the plot ... it will probably be at least 5 m from the street, if not more ... tending towards 10 m, so that another car can really fit in front of the carport and the 150 cm slope drop can be overcome at all. Basically, I would prefer a more elongated house from west to east or an L-shape with a southwest opening. I'm just always so bad at imagining how these heights can be skillfully overcome.

Aren't we almost all like that, without an elevation profile or site plan with altitude points?

Placement would be interesting...

What kind of dog is it? A "real" dog or more the type of carpet rat/foot warmer? For a "real" dog with the appropriate size and maybe also fur, I would consider equipping the guest WC with a shower so that after a long, wet walk you don't have to take the pooch through the house to shower, but can turn directly to the dog cleaning right after the front door. After the changes to the wardrobe according to ypg's suggestion, some space would be gained for the guest WC, possibly taking the rest from the storage room. We have friends with dogs who have such a "dog shower" and are very, very happy about it.

I only skimmed the other posts. I recommend a window in the storage room (It will probably be the dressing room by the bedroom, right?) because otherwise the air there is very bad.

So, thank you for the comments.

I will inform you about the placement when there is a final status, but it will tend to be 4-5 m away from the curb.

Our dog has short fur and no undercoat. Easy to clean
Therefore, there is no shower in the guest WC. The cleaning of the dog will take place in the utility room. Guests who shower at my place may use the bathroom...
We currently have 3 bathrooms, which is too many for us. One of the reasons we are building is also to downsize.

We considered the window in the dressing room, but due to the ventilation system, it is not necessary.

Now we unfortunately have to wait a little longer until it continues, as the construction company, or the responsible people, are currently on vacation.

I also didn’t understand the thing about the musty smell. I would still put one in, if only for the brightness.
