There is news regarding the BEG funding for those who sign the construction contract before 1.7.2021 and still want to take advantage of the new funding.

Although funding applications for BEG WG and BEG NWG can only be submitted from 01.07.2021, delivery and service contracts with construction companies or craftsmen can already be concluded as of now for measures for which funding under BEG WG and BEG NWG is to be applied for from 01.07.2021 (including the improved funding of energy-efficient new buildings that use heating based on renewable energies as so-called "EE classes") after a documented consultation with a financing partner of KFW, without this having a detrimental effect on the funding. The proof of this documented consultation must include information on funding conditions and requirements as well as on the amount of funding and the inclusion of this BEG funding in the potential loan transaction.
In this way, the incentive effect of the BEG WG or BEG NWG funding offer is documented. Following the documented consultation, corresponding delivery and service contracts with construction companies, suppliers, and trades can then be concluded without a loan funding application having to be completed at this point in time. However, the loan application must still be submitted before the start of construction work on site. The earliest possible time to submit an application under BEG WG / BEG NWG is 01.07.2021. Construction work to implement the measures may therefore only begin after this date.

Thank you LudwigMuc

so that means for me.
If I conclude the financing after 01.07.2021 and the construction start is only after 01.07.2021, do I have the possibility to get the new conditions?

What counts as construction work?

This will be a larger new development area with district heating connection

Does the development of the new development area already count as construction work or does that only count when the earthworks for my basement begin?

Development could already start earlier, the earthworks definitely not

So I understand it. After the consultation with the KfW, a construction contract with the builder/tradesman can be concluded and from 1.7.2021 the application must be submitted to the KfW, and after the approval the construction can begin. I sent a written inquiry to the KfW about this last week but have not received any response yet.

Good morning,

on the BEG WG page under frequently asked questions it is clearly stated:

“The loan application must still be submitted on site before the start of construction work. The earliest possible date for submitting an application under BEG WG/ BEG NWG is 01.07.2021. Construction work to implement the measures may therefore only begin after that.”

“The start of excavation and earthworks for new buildings marks the beginning of construction work for the measures on site.”

In your case, I see no chance for the new BEG. However, I would still be happy that it is proceeding so quickly :D

I’ll chime in, the topic is also interesting for us. (We want to buy a terraced house from a developer, currently the building permit is being obtained and following that, existing buildings on the future building plot must first be demolished before the development measures.)

If I understand this correctly, the kfw defines the start of construction of a measure (at the earliest) from development. So if in our case demolition of the buildings initially takes place and the development begins around September 21, there should probably still be enough time for us to apply for the kfw funding after 01.07.2021?

Additional question: we have also heard about the possibility of signing a contract in June but including a clause that the contract remains pending ineffective until kfw funding approval. Regarding this “contract” – is this about the purchase/works contract or – more likely – about the credit agreement with the bank? Does anyone know such contractual arrangements to obtain kfw funding eligibility?
