Hello Malz1902, what exactly do you have to switch?

Is FTTH fiber optic? We have it in town, but not where I am building! It may come in the next few years. How do you mean cable TV via network sockets?

Your children will not be very interested in satellite TV, but more in streaming (Netflix, YouTube, Twitch, etc.). Therefore, I would install a double network socket wherever a fixed device can be placed (TV, desktop PC, WLAN access point).

With the above distribution, it does not matter at all how telephone and internet enter the house. You just have to distribute it.

You can also already distribute satellite via network (SAToverIP). Whether you want that is up to you. If not, then lay classic SAT cables and sockets.

And you can also get TV over the internet. For example, Telekom Entertain, Zattoo.

We simply have no TV in the house now. Haven't missed it since October. If, at some point, there is a World Cup, I can also book TV via the internet for a few days.

TV via satellite, Internet via DSL (50,000, line supports 100,000)

Ip-TV and streaming will become more prevalent, so I would keep all options open here. If higher DSL capacities are not guaranteed, I would at least prepare everything for a cable connection. I had TV via cable for several years but would no longer want it (inflexible regarding outlets, smaller program range, expensive). If possible, at least have the line installed or planned. Additionally, I would have a coaxial cable run from the house connection to the "router location" and to the attic (satellite distribution). Then you can later largely reuse the existing sub-distribution (LAN and satellite). A LAN cable should also be available in the attic. Then Sat-over-IP would also be easily possible.

It should be taken for granted today that every relevant room has at least one satellite and one LAN connection. In contrast to 10 years ago, I no longer need my double-sat outlets. I only rarely record anything nowadays, and then only if I am not watching TV at the same time.
