I fear she will only accept one written in my blood (whether at full moon or not). However, I wanted to avoid that for the next 40 years...

Let's have a small forum meeting at Kati's and on the way back everyone from the south takes a few crates with them ;)

From about 40, people usually still have class 3 and are allowed to drive up to 7.5 tons

200 euros? How many kilometers are included? Just asking in disbelief because we did the move from Bavaria to East Frisia with a Sprinter and cars, and just our mileage allowance for the Sprinter was 263.99 euros. Then there was fuel and a police fine for overloading. So, actually, we would have needed two Sprinters. On the move back to Bavaria it was immediately clear that the savings compared to using a moving company would be at most 1000 euros. We simply treated ourselves to that luxury because, as I said, we didn’t have much help either (my wife was heavily pregnant, my mother looked after the child, and my dad and I dismantled). Also, the moving company is liable if something gets damaged. And when you load yourself, something usually gets damaged. But I also think that the moving company probably didn’t earn much at that price. However, I know that after unloading they had to go directly to the next move (Upper Palatinate > NRW).

Good point. I just checked again and apparently only 100km per day are included, every additional kilometer costs €0.46. In that case, the one-way would probably be worth it just because of the kilometers.

I'll join in. Offering a 7.5-ton truck + trailer and will drive back and forth as often as needed and just bring my wife along ;D

It's worth comparing! Different providers have different rates, both regarding included kilometers and the costs for additional kilometers. If Kati is seriously considering a rental here, which I don't assume :), I would gladly have a look ....

Tip on the side: sometimes it’s worth renting a truck, e.g., for a whole week to get a cheaper price than for two days ;) You sometimes have to play around in the configurations. At least, I booked a 7.5-ton truck 3 years ago for a week including 1200 km for €440 all-inclusive. Last year I had it for 4-5 days (don't remember exactly) because it was cheaper than booking for 2 days :)
