Hello everyone.

We are currently building a house without a basement in NRW.
The ground floor is already built.
For the house connection room with a multi-utility connection (gas, electricity, water, telecom), a room with a width of 1.3m, a depth of 1.75m, and a height of 2.5m is planned.

Is the size sufficient, or could it possibly lead to difficulties during acceptance?

Thanks in advance.

Did the [Gu] plan it that way or is it your own plan?
If [GU], then it’s his problem.
If planned by yourself, you get the dirty looks when the gentlemen squeeze into it.
Installing a heating system or a hot water storage tank in such a chamber is really unreasonable.

It was planned by the general contractor. Now the ground floor is already built and the ceiling/floor of the upper floor is already poured. Dirty looks are one thing, that might still be somehow smoothed over with the gentlemen. But with this room size, is the acceptance at risk?

Which approval exactly? The network operator? That can hardly be answered so generally. Network operators do not all operate the same way, network supervisors even less so. But that is really a tight fit. Boiler and storage tank in that space is not possible in my opinion, controlled residential ventilation definitely not. The door and meter cabinet each take up almost an entire wall surface.

Who on earth plans such rubbish? This is definitely too small. It should be at least 5 m2, preferably 10 m2. Better 15 m2.
