Yes, I would definitely place the fitting on the front side (I just didn’t find that quickly at Villeroy & Boch). If you make a 1m wide shower, the entrance will even be bigger. Possibly you can then even put a 1.50m shower wall in. Regarding the size of the corner bathtub, unfortunately I can’t help you either. Have you asked Uncle Google?

"Simply" going into the shower without opening a door or overcoming a large threshold is just comfortable. The even temperature distribution is a positive side effect.

Since we are building through a developer & general contractor, such special requests go through several hands, all of which must be paid: bathroom showroom -> plumber -> developer -> general contractor... You can imagine what such a corner bathtub will cost. Therefore, we came to the conclusion yesterday not to choose a corner bathtub after all (even though we have always wanted one).

We are also not sure about positioning the toilet on the left side regarding the connections. Therefore, attached is a new design.

We are also still unsure about the shower. Included in the price is a 90x90 Superplan shower tray. A tiled shower with a channel drain would actually be suitable for this option, but you read a lot about medium-/long-term waterproofing problems.

Not so easy. :/

You will probably be annoyed by the variant where the toilet paper is constantly getting sprayed wet from the shower. Or that when you are lying in the bathtub, you have the toilet brush right next to you or you are looking directly at the toilet.

In my opinion, you need at least 1.50m, preferably 1.60m of space in one direction for an open shower.

I can’t say anything about the additional cost of the bathtub. Maybe you can speak directly with the company doing the work? I would spend the money on a tiled shower again anytime. We are absolutely satisfied with it. If done by a professional, there should be no problems. You spend a lot of time in the bathroom. Because of 500 euros more, there really shouldn’t be such compromises.

Compromise for the corner bathtub: place a regular bathtub diagonally on a pedestal

The toilet paper & toilet brush are unfortunately placed awkwardly on the drawing - the configurator does not allow it any other way.

It's really not easy right now, especially because we have to make a decision at such short notice. In the end, I can't think of an ideal solution. Unfortunately, we also don't know if the toilet can be moved to the other side or not.
Of course, it shouldn't fail because of 500€, but the additional costs from the general contractor are really steep.

How far along is the building permit process? Shell construction or already in rough installation? Rhineland regards
