Maybe you can say something about #22?

Yeah, I had already read that yesterday, but I’m not quite sure what? We had already thoroughly discussed our floor plan here and received feedback on it.

Yeah, with a corner bathtub and the washbasin in these spots, that won’t work. Long live scale-accurate planning! Does the washbasin really have to be that wide? There are narrower double washbasins. But the window is still suboptimal in this version if you want to open it. Then no one is allowed to sit on the toilet or in the bathtub.

Is there a possibility for a second window in the bathroom? Then, basically, even if you have additional tiled walls installed, it would be rather flooded with daylight. Maybe the approach for our own house was wrong, but I initially made sure that wherever "possible," windows were installed, preferably on at least two sides of a room, because in my assessment daylight is the most important thing in a house. I repeat, that can also be wrong, I'm not a professional and my house idea here was not particularly successful. ;-) (I know it from our old house, where every room had windows on at least two sides, many rooms even on three sides. I found that simple and nice.)

It is certainly also a matter of preferences. I would rather do without a second washbasin or a "built-in shower" than give up a window. :)

What becomes clear with the quite good suggestions above: you have to be careful with the window. When opened (depending on the configuration), it almost always collides with the wall of the shower or a person sitting on the toilet or in the (corner) bathtub. The room is not huge, and the walls of the shower and possibly around the toilet not only block light but also take up a lot of space. I would rather not do the T and restrict myself to the shower. Personally, I would prefer a glass wall, but that is a matter of taste.

Theoretically yes, but it is currently not planned. The shown window is extremely large. It wouldn't need to be floor-to-ceiling either. We have to think about it. From the outside, it is nicely symmetrical, which I quite like. Another window on the other wall would further limit our placement options. I also don't know how much light would come through that window since it is not very high and a garage will be built next to it. Ours neither, I hardly remember any floor plan thread here that wasn’t picked apart. But: that is the nature of the thing. If there were a universally perfect house and it wasn’t a huge collection of personal preferences, it would have been perfected over the last 500 years and houses today would all look the same. ;) We really don’t urgently need a second washbasin (we only have one here too), I’m just influenced by Pinterest because I’ve seen nice designs with elongated washbasins there. But maybe it will be shorter and only have one sink. I’m not quite sure about that yet. I find the use case that we want to open the window while someone is on the toilet/in the bathtub very unlikely. Generally, it is rare that multiple people are in the bathroom at the same time here. The kind of “you can’t get through if someone is standing by XY” hardly plays a role here. Glass walls always look great in designer photos, but I know myself/us in everyday life and I know that the thing wouldn’t be wiped down anyway, and that would annoy me visually. Our current built-in shower, on the other hand, is perfect. It always looks clean, has no glass, requires minimal effort.
