Looking for inspiration for bathroom planning

I don't want open storage surfaces because, unfortunately, in our case, they aren't just used temporarily as a place to put things down, but forever. So there will be 2x 60cm washbasin cabinets each with two drawers (of which I will probably get half). And also wall/tall cabinets. Possibly a storage bench or something like that, but as little open surface as possible.

I'm totally with you on that. What looks great in a Pinterest photo doesn't necessarily have to be practical for everyday life.

Nothing is more annoying than not even being able to put the toiletry bag near the washbasin… (whether guest/main/or "whatever" bathroom)

Depending on the size of the toiletry bag, it can work, behind the sink or between both sinks. But in our main bathroom, everything that is in the [Kulturbeutel] should actually disappear into the drawers and cabinets. [Kulturbeutel] = travel accessory

Well, you also sometimes put the hairdryer down in between or other things. Surfaces are really important next to the sink, but you do have to train yourself more to put things back into the drawer or the cabinet. And yes, I also hate it when I have ZERO surface next to the sink in a holiday home for my toiletry bag. You really don’t need it at home, but other things can definitely be kept within reach or just some nice decoration.

For hairdryers, there are those holders on the wall. I claim that you can't discipline adults anymore; you have to adapt to their quirks.

I wouldn't know why he would need two sinks at 16. If he wants to tie-dye clothes in two colors, he can do that in the kitchen. :P The area offers enough space for storage; there are people who get by with half as much bathroom space. And if the kid takes after his father, he'll have exactly three things in the bathroom afterward: shower, shampoo, and beard oil. :P
