Did I miss something? Is the bathroom only for the son?

No, but we are among the people who use their bathrooms alternately, not at the same time. If my son, suddenly at 16, wants to go to the bathroom with me, I'll take him to a therapist. :D

Edit: Actually, I should explain further, there are precise guidelines about who uses the bathroom when. Shower: 2 adults at the same time. Sink: 1 adult or 1 child at a time, never simultaneously. Toilet can be used in parallel (maximum for a small business). Bathtub: 1 adult, no parallel use of other sanitary items allowed. Bringing tea is okay.

Uh… we only know what you write as info. So please don't be so annoyed - you asked here and are getting answers. Aha! And the three- or five-year-old does the same?! Nobody said that! I am slowly getting the feeling that brainstorming in a forum is more exhausting than helpful for you. Toiletry bag no, but as you also note, e.g. the woman's makeup case. Towel, cream jar… nothing is worse than a glass jar falling into the sink. Yes, and for toothbrushes too, and and and. You don't even need a shelf anymore because you can put everything in holders. Nice view ;)

I’m afraid we just don’t have the same sense of humor.

Anyway. Long story short: I’m not very worried about overly narrow paths, but I have taken note of the comment. I think there is definitely enough space for 1 or 2 sinks, but we really wouldn’t need 2 even in the long run.

We don’t have much on surfaces in the bathroom. It’s a place to feel good. I like wood a lot, I find long wooden washbasins with above-counter basins very stylish. We are aware of the practicality of above-counter basins, we already have one and would choose one again.

In my perfect “wish for something” bathroom, I would have a shower with 2 fixtures and a small bench. A long washbasin on which a vase or decoration fits. Currently, we have the tub placed somewhat diagonally in the corner, I like that very much because I can put a lot on and around it. That doesn’t have to be the case in the new house. What I could also imagine is placing the tub directly in front of the (then no longer floor-to-ceiling) window and having the entire area in front of and behind it as a surface for placing things.

No, the 120 euro perfume bottle or – super annoying: the nail polish.

I do hope that what’s written down there was meant with humor, because in life the “guideline” breaker does occasionally just fall from the sky… and not only at Christmas
