Our BU said that for this reason the construction contract must now have been handed over to the builder at least 2 (? Maybe it was 3) weeks before signing... in order to prevent someone from commissioning a house construction without realizing it.

So, like my predecessor, I also believe that the budget is really borderline. Even if you might just manage the house price, the additional costs and the outdoor facilities definitely push it beyond the limit. We are currently building with the company Akost. They simply had a good price-performance ratio for us.

So, like my predecessor, I believe that the budget is really borderline. Even if you might still manage the house price, as soon as you add additional costs and the exterior work, it breaks the limits. We are currently building with the company Akost. They simply had a good price-performance ratio for us. We already had a plot of land, and still we ended up with a total financing need of 280,000 euros, even though the house was listed in the catalog for under 200,000. But that was not the cheapest... You also have to have money left for living. And it must not all financially revolve around the house. We have a net monthly income of about 5,500 € and according to the bank would have had 2,000 € per month available for repayment etc. But we consciously decided against it and for there must also be money left for living. And it must not all financially revolve around the house. We both have a net monthly income of about 6,500 € (m full-time/w part-time) and according to the bank would have had 2,000 € per month available for repayment etc. But we consciously decided against it and chose a monthly burden of 900 euros, which even one of us could manage alone in an emergency... Missing money can really wear on the nerves and the relationship!

Somehow editing the post didn’t work out now. I’m sorry, so please ignore post # 56. Somehow I can’t delete it anymore either.

Hehe, you just shouldn’t believe everything some people write in the anonymity of the WWW. Once again, a wonderfully refreshing example of that.

I only know this from notary contracts (as required for the property in BT). It was apparently introduced to prevent doorstep transactions in front of so-called "midnight notaries."
