No, unfortunately the company Blohm has sold the show house, which is why we decided on this house model in 2014. Chaqrou and his wife looked at our house last year, which was almost identical to the show house, only our attic is mirrored and on the ground floor we have the version with the closed kitchen.

It's actually a pity, because we found show houses in general, and of course especially "our" house during the planning phase very helpful, as you can better imagine the dimensions, especially knee walls, etc., than from a paper drawing.

That would be possible and maybe also practical for the house entrance, but now the utility room has the covered side entrance from the carport/shed.

For that, you can use the covered side entrance door in the utility room. Especially with two small children, I think it’s helpful to take their shoes off in the utility room.

In summer.

The mirroring of the upper floor was mentioned by several.
That convinced us and will be discussed with the general contractor and probably implemented if he has no objections.

We’re not sure yet. The living room furniture was just drawn by the planner like that.

We would prefer to leave the wall as it is. We would move the couch further down. This would create space in the corner for an armchair and space for the Christmas tree at Christmas.

A concrete staircase with space underneath is planned.

The kitchen also has a double-leaf floor-to-ceiling door leading to the terrace.

I’ve already thought of that yesterday, among other reasons so that the bedroom is located in the northeast. In summer, the south orientation could otherwise become warm. I sleep better when it’s not so warm.

You can gladly call me Stefan ;)

P.S.: Thanks to all previous posts. Over time, one becomes blind to the drafts and overlooks quite a bit. I find it helpful when "foreign eyes" take a look. Further ideas, suggestions, and improvement proposals, whether positive or negative, are gladly welcomed by me.

Is the wall construction fixed or open for discussion? The 17.5cm aerated concrete plus 16cm insulation should meet the U-value Kfw 40. There is also potential for savings through area reduction. A 1cm air gap should also be sufficient. You can also stick with the 16cm insulation and build the exterior walls with sand-lime brick as well, thus dispensing with aerated concrete. Better sound insulation, one material, no special anchors needed for heavy things like a kitchen.

Cheaper would be 36.5 cm aerated concrete without insulation. Stone price higher. But one entire work step is omitted. And it is still sufficient for the Energy Saving Ordinance 2016. And... you don't need this Styrofoam stuff. Karsten

Who would replace a double-shell construction with clinker brick with aerated concrete? Sure, it is cheaper but also simply less valuable. I don't believe this is up for discussion. I am concerned about the wall construction and the goal of the Energy Saving Ordinance. With the mentioned construction, it achieves a U-value below 0.16. That is significantly beyond the target of the Energy Saving Ordinance and is compensated by a 50 cm thick wall. That also costs money in terms of living space. But if the general contractor builds it this way and nothing else and the client wants to keep the general contractor, then that's just the way it is. If the price is right.

PS: No one mentioned EPS as insulation, although that is not a bad idea for double-shell use since all the alleged negative properties are eliminated here (apart from psychological factors, of course). Anyone can also use mineral wool or something else.
