2 meter chipboard will sag if you don’t do anything against it, even at 38 mm. At least you should provide a support at the wall at the appropriate height. Such a chipboard is definitely heavier though.

I have now decided on the SÄLJAN countertop


and am now planning a bit again.

The countertop will be supported on the left and right by two Alex units. In the middle, I will attach two legs. Which type of attachment would be most sensible to support the weight? A or B?

My other question is: If I want to shorten the countertop on one side a bit, it creates an unsightly edge. I heard such an edge is "treated" with a so-called edge band. I have already looked into how this works (iron). But where can I get something like that? Does Ikea also have this? And which color do I need, is just plain "white" enough? Surely there are quite different shades of white or something! Can you give me a link for that? *Looking sweetly*
