Level the basement or the plot?

Thank you very much for your quick replies. Indeed, I have basically answered my question myself. Unless some rules prevent the filling: can you give any estimate of the costs? For example, related to cbm? Thank you in advance.

so the answer is not entirely clear to me yet. Of course, you actually don’t need/want a basement.
But when I look at the whole thing in the side view and you want the ground floor at street level, quite a lot will be filled in. Between the terrace and the garden there will also be a fairly steep slope.

RED: House starts 3 m above ground level
GREEN: House starts 3 m above street level
Blue: Split level, height difference 1.20 m

I would really consider a split level here. From my point of view, it is optimal for the terrain.
But of course it is more demanding for the architect.

tell the OP what you paid for the backfill. I wouldn’t raise to street level without a basement, though. I would rather pay attention to good water drainage and then adapt to the terrain.
