Hello everyone,

I’m joining in here with a question.

In our offer, a garage is specified as follows:
Garage 4 x 9 m white plaster with electric door, door and window plastered and tiled
38° gable roof €32,000.00
Alternatively
as above, but flat roof with concrete roof instead of gable roof,
concrete roof is insulated
€31,500.00

Is this offer okay like this?
However, I would remove the tiles.

I would prefer the gable roof version here.
Under the roof, you can still store things (winter tires, etc.).
The garage will mainly be used by us for motorcycles and vintage cars.
The other cars have to stay outside...
...after all, they have a roof too. :)

In the back area, a small room 2m x 4m is planned to be separated with an extra door to the garden for garden tools and such.

Possibly even raise the roof a bit - if possible - then you could fit a small "men’s world" in there.

Also, the garage would then match the house.

I don’t know if a prefabricated garage would be much cheaper?
Especially since additional work like foundations, electricity, etc. will also be required.

In this sense
Best regards, Olli

Hi,
one more comment regarding the garage,
we have a townhouse near Hannover (currently rented out).
In 1999, we installed a standard prefabricated garage measuring 3 x 5.50 m here.
It cost about 14,000 DM back then (those were prices...).
The garage was mainly used as a workshop (motorcycles).
There were no problems here, everything was always dry.
What bothered me was only that it was too small and had no windows.
The construction is completely fine, no moisture, no mold, etc.
Regards, Olli
